Federal Work-Study - FWS
Federal Work-Study (FWS)
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program offers part-time employment opportunities to eligible students to help cover college expenses. When possible, these positions provide work experience related to the student’s field of study. FWS is a federally funded, need-based program. To qualify, students must be eligible for a Pell Grant.Pay rates for FWS positions are posted on the Drake State website and are subject to change. Students may work up to 19 hours per week.To apply, eligible students must complete the Work-Study Application available on the Careers page of the Drake State website. Indicating interest in FWS does not guarantee placement, as funds and positions are limited. Most job placements are on campus, with work hours typically scheduled after classes.
Hiring is competitive, and not all applicants will be placed.
